This homeowner wanted to do more than just add space—they want to change the entire soul of their property. Our approach to this Modern Transformation was to strip back the visual noise and focus on the "Three Cs": Clean lines, Connectivity, and Comfort. We aimed to introduce industrial-inspired materials—like slim-profile steel frames and modern timber cladding—to give the home a sophisticated, gallery-like feel while maintaining the warmth of a family sanctuary.

A Our design centred on a sleek, two-storey renovation designed to break down the barriers between indoors and out. To solve the "dark core" of the original house, we focused on two primary elements: volume and transparency.
By extending the upper floor plan and adding huge windows, we created larger rooms with great lighting and wonderful views of the garden. However, the real "hero" of the project was the installation of extra-wide charcoal aluminium bi-fold doors. We designed these to span nearly half the width of the property, featuring a flush threshold to ensure a perfectly level transition from the interior floor to the brand new garden patio.

Our approach focused on stripping the building back to its core and rebuilding it with a focus on transparency and texture.
The "dated bungalow" is unrecognizable.
It has been transformed from a dark, segmented house into a bright, expansive home that rivals any new-build for style and efficiency. The use of premium materials and expansive glass hasn't just updated the look—it has completely changed how the homeowners experience their space.
